Gino Sarfatti (Italy 1912 – 1985)
Arteluce Model 211 wall lamp. 1955/56.
Tiny wall lamp designed by Gino Sarfatti in the 1950s for Arteluce, Italy. It has the makers label as seen.
All original and in working condition – It has a small length of cloth covered electrical wire attached. Some small signs of wear to paint work.
Alvar Aalto (Finland 1898-1976)
Early edition Finmar / Bowman Bros. dining set. Five model 611 stacking chairs and table. This was Aalto’s first modernist chair produced.
This set came from the home (wife) of Russian /American composer Dimitri Tiomkin best known for his western scores, including Duel in the Sun, Red River, High Noon, The Big Sky, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, and Last Train from Gun Hill.
The set was once black but has been restored and taken back to the wood colour.
Vladimir Kagan (1927-2016 Ger/USA)
Two early edition ‘Capricorn’ chaise lounges. These chairs are in original vintage condition and would benefit from restoration from any prospective buyer. (We could have restored them but decided to leave them as they were).
One has been painted white and one is simply rusty at the moment – They would both look great when restored.
Dutch modernist reception desk. Circa 1930s-50s.
Painted steel. Beech wood slats and composite stone top.
The exact provenance of this desk is unknown but it reputedly came out of a shop/store in Amsterdam during the mid-c20th. It has affinities with Gerrit Rietveld’s designs of the era.
It shows signs of age and use – the rubber stops are very dry and worn, the steel has old over painting.
Some minor sympathetic restorations.
Georges Jouve (France, 1910- 1964) &/for Marcel Asselbur

Good condition – minimal signs of age/use.
